5. Beginning Sounds Match
   Children use letter tiles or dry erase markers to find or write the beginning sound for each picture.
6. Back to School Beginning Sounds Clip It!
   Children identify the beginning sound of each picture and clip a peg to show their answer.
7. Back to School Write the Room
   Place vocabulary cards around the room. Then, children find the cards and write the matching words on their recording page.
8. School Bus Word Family Sort
   Children identify the ending of each word and sort it onto the correct word family mat.
9. Back to School Syllables Clip It!
   Children count the number of syllables in each word and use pegs or markers to show their answer.
10. Colored Pencils Pre-Primer & Primer Sight Word Sorting
    Children sort sight word pencils into the correct cup using printable cups or real plastic cups. This activity covers both Pre-Primer and Primer Dolch sight words.
