✂️ How to Prepare the Calendar Flip Card Display
Print the cards on cardstock, laminate for durability, cut out each card, and punch the holes where marked. Place each card group onto two binder rings or book rings, then hang the rings over a wooden dowel rod.
The cards are designed to be displayed in this order:
Day | Month | Date | Year
Example:
Monday | August | 24 | 2026
The “Today is” header card can be displayed above the rod using tape, Velcro dots, magnetic tape, or another classroom-safe option.
🏫 Calendar Flip Cards: Classroom Display Tips
A smooth wooden dowel rod works well for this display. Use binder rings that are large enough to move easily over the rod so the cards can flip smoothly.
White open rod brackets or white clip-style rod holders are a good option for classroom display. Choose brackets that hold the rod slightly away from the wall so the cards have room to flip over easily.
