This unit features 24 engaging CVC word families flip flap booklets, available in both color and black and white. These booklets are designed to help children in early grades practice and master reading and recognizing CVC words.
Directions for use
To assemble the flip-flap books:
- Cut out each rectangle, then along the lines of the letter and picture flips. Ensure the top rectangle is left intact as it forms the base for the flip-flap book.
- Arrange the letter “flips” (pages) one on top of the other and staple them to the left side of the base.
- Arrange the picture “flips” (pages) one on top of the other and staple them to the right side of the base.
There are two ways to arrange the picture flips:
- Randomly: Children practice reading the words formed as they turn the letter flips and find the matching picture.
- To Match the Letters: Children read the words formed as they turn the letter flips and see the matching picture.
