About this book
This unit contains 24 Flip-Flap CVC word family books in color and black and white.
Directions for use
To assemble the flip-flap books, cut out each rectangle, then along the lines of the letter and picture flips. Make sure that the top rectangle is left intact as it will form the base for the flip-flap book! Arrange the letter “flips” (pages) one on top of the other and staple them to the left side of the base. Students then need to arrange the picture “flips” (pages) one on top of the other and staple them to the right side of the base.
There are 2 ways the picture flips can be arranged:
- Randomly – children practice reading the words formed as they turn the letter flips and find the matching picture
- To match the letters – children read the words formed as they turn the letter flips and the matching picture.
