About this book
This book contains a weather activity in which children dress the bear according to the weather. Included are 12 weather icons, a boy and girl bear along with different clothes for each type of weather.
Directions for preparation
This resource has been created for use in a binder or folder, but can be used however you see fit.
To prepare the activity for use, simply print and laminate all the pages. Cut out the weather icons and clothes. Leave the pages with the bears intact as they will form the base for the activity. Attach transparent velcro dots to the empty square (this is where the weather icons will go) and different sections of the bear. Attach velcro dots to the back of the weather icons and clothes.
Ideas for use
1. Place a weather icon in the empty square and ask your child to dress the bear for the weather.
2. Dress the bear for the weather and ask your child to find a matching weather icon.
3. Place a weather icon in the square and randomly dress the bear. Ask your child if the bear is dressed appropriately. Ask your child to swap out inappropriate clothing and replace it with the correct clothing.
