Autumn | Fall Preschool Worksheets and Activities No Prep

  1. Autumn pre-writing practice (1 page)
Children trace between the lines of each path.
  2. Autumn leaves letters in my name (1 page)
Children color each leaf that contains a letter included in their name.
  3. Autumn leaves mobile cutting practice (2 pages)
Children color and cut out the branch and leaves. They make holes using a hole punch where indicated and tie a piece of string from the branch to the leaves.
  4. Autumn apple and pumpkin maze (2 pages)
Children trace their way to the middle of each maze.
  5. Autumn leaf tracing practice (1 pages)
Children trace around the shape of the leaf and then colour it. This can also be done as a “pokey pin” activity with a big push pin: children place a rubber mat on their table, a colored piece of paper on top of the mat and then the leaf page on top of the colored paper. They use the push pin to make holes on the dashed line. Once completed, the colored paper with the leaf shape is displayed in the classroom.
  6. Alphabet tracing pages (26 pages)
Children begin by finger tracing the upper and lower case letters and word at the top of the page. Next, children trace the upper and lower case letter and word on the writing lines, starting at the dot and following the directional arrows from the exemplary letter.
  7. Autumn syllables (1 page)
Children read the word for each picture and color the corresponding number to show how many syllables.
  8. Autumn pumpkin pre-primer sight words practice (40 page)
Children trace the sight word at the top of the page and then color the pumpkins that contain the focus word.
  9. Autumn words one-to-one correspondence (1 page)
Children count how many words in each sentence and color a number to show their answer.
  10. Autumn emergent reader “Pumpkins” (color and B&W) & comprehension sheet
Assembly is required by cutting each page in half, then stapling together on the left side where indicated. I have also included a colored version that teachers can use and keep in the classroom library. There are 2 comprehension sheets: one with pictures to indicate which page children can find the answer, and another without pictures.
  11. Autumn prepositions: behind, in front, under, on (1 page)
Children color the object that shows the position identified.
  12. Autumn differences (1 page)
Children look at each row of pictures and circle the one that is different.

  17. Autumn number practice (10 pages)
Children begin by finger tracing the number at the top of the page and coloring the acorns on the ten frame. Next, children trace the focus number on writing lines, and colour the correct number of leaves.
  18. Pumpkin seeds and number match cut and paste (3 pages)
Children cut out the numbers and paste them on the correct pumpkin to show how many seeds in each one.
