Make fall vocabulary practice part of your writing routine with this Autumn Vocabulary & Writing Booklet! Designed for kindergarten and first grade, these printable pages help children connect seasonal pictures with words while practicing tracing, handwriting, and simple sentence writing.
Students color the pictures, trace the vocabulary words, and write a matching word or sentence on the primary lines. Choose a few pages for your current theme or create a booklet that students can build throughout the season.

- 58-page printable PDF, including teacher directions, covers, vocabulary pages, and additional writing pages
- 48 autumn vocabulary words and phrases, plus an alternate “jumper” page for “sweater”
- Half-page activities with a picture to color, a traceable vocabulary word, and primary writing lines
- Individual and class booklet covers with “My book of…” and “Our book of…” options
- Both Autumn Words and Fall Words cover titles
- Extra primary writing pages for sentences and longer responses
- Two copies of each booklet page per printed sheet
✏️ How to Use the Autumn Vocabulary & Writing Booklet
Print your chosen pages, cut them in half, and assemble them with a cover. Introduce each picture and discuss the word before children trace it, write it independently, and color the illustration.
Adapt the writing task to suit your learners. Beginning writers can copy the focus word, while children who are ready can compose a short sentence, such as “The pumpkin is big.” Use the additional writing pages when students need more space.
You can also create a collaborative class book by assigning a different word to each child and combining their completed pages. For an extra challenge, invite students to arrange their vocabulary pages in alphabetical order.
