The Construction Preschool Centers contains 17 games and activities intended for use in centers and small groups with children in Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten (Prep).

Construction Centers for Preschool: Literacy Printable Activities

1. Construction fine motor practice mats (5 mats). Children will place a small object in each of the circles.
2. Construction Write and Wipe pre-writing tracing practice (9 cards). Using a white board (dry-erase) marker, children are required to trace the lines on the card starting on the left and progressing towards the right.
3. Road alphabet tracing practice – upper and lower case (26 cards). Children use a white board (dry-erase) marker to trace the letters on the card, following the directional arrows.
4. Construction tools upper and lower case match & beginning sounds (26 pages). Children will identify and match all the upper and lower case letters and beginning sound pictures to the correct toolbox.
5. Dump truck rhyming match (10 cards). Children will say the words for each picture on the dump truck wheels and find the dump box with the rhyming picture.
6. Construction sight words spelling (40 pre-primer sight words cards). Children will pick a sight word card and spell out the word using the sign cards included. Alternatively, children can spell the words using Scrabble letters, magnetic letters, mini alphabet erasers, play dough, or simply write the word with an erasable marker.

Construction Centers for Preschool: Printable Math Activities

1.  Road number tracing practice 1-10 (10 cards). Children use a white board (dry-erase) marker to trace the number on the card, following the directional arrows.
2. Dump truck and rocks counting 1-10 (10 pages). Children will count out the number of rocks shown on each truck and place them accordingly.
3. Bulldozer number sense (1-10). Children will identify and match all the number representations on the rocks to the correct bulldozer.
4. Construction vehicles sorting by size: large, medium, small. Children will sort the vehicle to the correct size mat.
5. Constructions shapes clip cards (7 shapes). Children will identify the shape that matches the sign in the first box and then clip a card to show their answer.
6. Dump truck and dirt color matching (11 colors). Children will identify and match all the colored piles of dirt to the correct dump truck. 
7. What is different? construction theme (4 cards). Children will clip a peg on the picture that is different.
8. What doesn’t belong? construction theme (4 cards). Children will clip a peg on the picture that doesn’t belong.
9. Construction sequencing cards: Building a wall (4-part sequencing). Children will order the cards to show the sequence.
10. Construction theme AB patterns (5 cards). Children will identify the pattern on the cards and clip the correct picture in the empty box to complete the pattern.
11. Construction shadow matching (12 card pairs). Children will match the pictures to their shadows.
