Food Centers for Preschool | Morning Tubs / Bins
The Food Centers for Preschool contains 20 math and literacy activities intended for use in centers and small groups with children in Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten (Prep).
Food Centers for Preschool: Printable Literacy Activities
- Kids eating food fine motor practice mats (5 mats).Children will place a small object in each of the circles.
- Food Write and Wipe pre-writing tracing practice (9 cards). Using a whiteboard (dry-erase) marker, children are required to trace the lines on the card starting on the left and progressing towards the right.
- Food alphabet tracing practice – upper and lower case (26 cards). Children use a whiteboard (dry-erase) marker to trace the letters on the card, following the directional arrows.
- Peanut butter and jelly sandwich upper and lower case match (26 cards). Children will identify and match the upper case letters on the peanut butter and the lower case letters on the jelly.
- Pancake beginning sounds match (26 pages). Children will sort all the pancakes to the pancake with the matching beginning sound.
- Ice cream rhyming match (10 cards). Children say the word for each picture on the ice cream scoops and match them to the cone with the rhyming picture.
- Pea CVC word and picture match (35 cards). Children will read the word on the card and then clip a peg on the matching picture.
- Cookie sight words matching (40 pre-primer sight words cards). Children will read the words on the cookies and sort them to the matching cookie jar.
Food Centers for Preschool: Printable Math Activities
- Food number tracing cards 1-10 (10 cards). Children use a white board (dry-erase) marker to trace the number on the card, following the directional arrows.
- Ice cream scoop counting 1-10 (5 pages). Children will count out the number of ice cream scoops shown on each cone and place them accordingly.
- Cookie number sense 1-10 (10 pages). Children will identify and match all the number representations on the cookies to the correct cookie jar.
- Fruit and vegetables ordering by size: large, medium, small. Children will arrange the fruits and vegetables from smallest to largest by placing them one on top of the other.
- Spaghetti and meatballs shape matching (10 shapes). Children will identify the shape on each meatball and place it on the matching bowl of spaghetti.
- Fruit and vegetable to crate color matching (10 colors). Children will identify and match all the fruits and vegetables to the correct color crate.
- Which picture is different? food theme (4 cards). Children will clip a peg on the picture that is different.
- What doesn’t belong? food theme (4 cards). Children will clip a peg on the picture that doesn’t belong.
- Sorting fruits and vegetables. Children will identify and match all the fruits and vegetables to the correct crate.
- Food sequencing cards: Making Pizza (4-part sequencing). Children will order the cards to show the sequence of making a pizza.
- Fruit and vegetables AB patterns (5 cards). Children will identify the pattern on the cards and to clip the correct picture in the empty box to complete the pattern.
- Fruit and vegetables shadow matching (16 card pairs). Children will match the pictures to their shadows.
