FREE Easter Egg CVC Word Work Spelling Activity

This free downloadable FREE Easter Egg CVC Word Work Spelling Activity contains an activity that can be used with plastic Easter eggs. Included are 100 picture cards with CVC words and the letters tiles needed to spell each word. In addition. 10 worksheets are aksi included for children to record their answers.

To prepare this spelling activity for use, print the pictures and letters tiles on card stock. Laminate them for durability (optional) and cut out the pictures and letters tiles. Alternatively, you can use Scrabble letter tiles, small magnetic letters or other small letters.

Print the worksheets you wish to use. Please note: I have included 2 types of worksheets for differentiation purposes – one with and one without the mixed words. You can use the set of worksheets that contain the scrambled words on their own and not with the picture cards.

Inside each plastic egg, place a picture card and the corresponding letter tiles. After that, put them inside a zip lock bag together with the matching worksheets.

To complete this activity, children will:

• open an egg
• say the name of the picture
• using the letter tiles inside, spell out the word
• locate the same picture on the worksheet
• write the word on the line provided
