• 1. Winter cutting practice (2 pages)
  Children cut out the snowflake shapes on the first page. A mobile can be made with the shapes by making a hole in the top of each snowflake and tying them to a stick with a piece of string. On the second page, children cut along the solid black lines.
• 2. Winter picture tracing (2 pages)
  Children trace the dashed lines on the page to complete the picture and then color it.
• 3. Winter maze (4 pages)
  Children make their way through the maze, starting at the arrow.

• 4. Mitten alphabet tracing (2 pages)
  Children trace the letters on the page, and color the pictures.
• 5. Mitten upper and lower case cut and paste letter match (5 pages)
  Children cut out the lower case letters from the bottom of the page and paste them in the square beside the matching upper case letter.
• 6. Snowman missing letters cut and paste (3 pages)
  Children cut out the letters from the bottom of the page and paste them in the appropriate squares to complete the alphabet sequence.
• 7. Winter beginning sounds cut and paste (5 pages)
  Children cut out the pictures from the bottom of the page and paste them on top of the corresponding letter.
• 8. Winter syllables (1 page)
  Children read the word for each picture and color the corresponding number to show how many syllables.

  Children read the 2 words on each snow globe and circle the one that matches the picture.

  Assembly is required by cutting each page in half, then stapling together on the left side where indicated. I have also included a colored version that teachers can use and keep in the classroom library. There are 2 comprehension sheets: one with pictures to indicate which page children can find the answer, and another without pictures.

  Children cut out the words from the bottom of the page and arrange them in order to make a 4-word sentence.
