✏️ How to Use the Apple Number Sort Activity

Set the sorting mats beside a sensory bin containing the apple pieces.
Invite children to choose a numbered basket.
Children find an apple and count or recognize the quantity shown.
They place it on the matching basket and continue searching for the other two representations of that number.

Offer child safe tongs or tweezers for additional fine motor practice. Encourage children to explain how they know each apple matches the basket.
