How to Set Up Your Sentence Scramble Pocket Chart
To set up your sentence scramble pocket chart, begin by selecting a pocket chart with clear and visible compartments that can hold word cards securely. Next, print the word cards and cut them apart. Then, organize the word cards into their respective sets and place them in the pocket chart in a random order. Encourage children to work together or individually to rearrange the word cards and form cohesive sentences. If you don’t have a pocket chart, simply use the cards on their own! Below, are the 22 sentences included in the summer sentence building activity pack.
Cut and Paste Word Work Worksheets
The worksheets included in this packet are differentiated. The first set of worksheets asks children to build a sentence to match the picture on the page. Afterwards, children will write that sentence on the writing line provided.
The second set of worksheets are ideal for children who need extra support. The sentence is written correctly on the page. Children will simply cut and paste the words to match that sentence.
