February is fast approaching and I wanted to share with you my printable Preschool Valentine’s Day worksheets packet. Included in this packet are 25 Valentine’s Day activities that incorporate a variety of fine motor skills as preschool and kindergarten children practice math and literacy concepts. Children will cut, glue, color, trace and write as they complete worksheets about the alphabet, beginning sounds, CVC words, sight words, rhyming words, colors, numbers, shapes and patterns to name just a few!

Printable Valentine’s Day Activities for Preschool: Fine Motor Skills Practice Pages
The first set of worksheets focus on developing fine motor skills. Children will practice tracing lines from left to right. Next, they will identify the letters that make up their name by coloring the correct candy hearts. After that, they will focus on their cutting skills and cut out several hearts that can be used to make a mobile. Then, children will trace and color a picture after which they will draw a path through a heart maze.
Printable Valentine’s Day Activities for Preschool: Literacy Worksheets
To start the literacy section, I included a syllables page. After that, I added a variety of alphabet worksheets. The first two alphabet worksheets asks children to trace capital and lower case letters. Continuing to focus on upper and lower case letters, the next set of worksheets asks children to match the letters that go together.
After that, your preschool and kindergarten students will practice alphabet sequencing. They will write the missing letters needed to complete each sequence. Children will then move on to letter sounds. The first set of 5 worksheets focuses on beginning sounds. The second set of also 5 worksheets focuses on middle sounds. In this set, children will focus on short vowels sounds within CVC words.
Moving on, students will match together rhyming CVC words and then practice recognizing sight words. To finish off the literacy section, students will identify how many words in each sentence. After that, they will color and emergent reader about Valentine’s Day and complete the reading comprehension page included.
Printable Valentine’s Day Activities for Preschool: Math Worksheets
The math section starts of with a prepositions worksheet. Next, is a visual discrimination activity that asks children to identify the picture that is different. Following that, is a sequencing activity that asks children to cut and paste the picture cards in order to show a girl blowing a bubble gum.
Then children will work on ordering by height and matching 2D shapes.
Following is a series of number worksheets. The first is a number tracing page. The second is a number and tally mark matching set of worksheets. Following that is a number and counting cut and paste set. Last is a count and graph worksheet.
